Potential Harmful Advertisement
I just was browsing through the Viewfinder forum and had a transparent flash covering fill my screen stating that my flash player needed to be updated. The screen looked very Adobe like, and the key give away was the download that popped up. It didn't show that it was downloading from www.adobe.com...but somewhere else that looked very suspicious. Unfortunately I didn't think to take a screen capture. The other dead give away was that the fake "Adobe" screen said the update was for internet explorer... I'm using Firefox.
Of course I aborted it, and restarted my browser.
I think people should be made aware of this, as it certainly does not look legit.

I saw the same one earlier today. - TF
Re: Potential Harmful Advertisement
Thanks for letting me know about this xystren. That was not an ad. It was malicious javascript code placed in a post. It's a nasty new form of spam. If you ever see these, please send me a PM, immediately. Make sure to include a link to the thread so I can get to it as quickly as possible. I've tried to block the code so they can't do it again. But I'm not sure if it will work. I don't want people to think we or our advertisers are responsible. Those popups include very bad code that will download spyware onto your computer.
