    Question Rating a post........

    Hi everyone,

This topic isn't important - maybe just a nitpik. However, I just wondered how people view rating a post. Few posts are rated. When they are, sometimes I wonder from what standpoint.

Just to clarify: IMO, when people post a question, opinion or just a comment, it's important to them or they wouldn't post it. If someone gives them 5 stars, they probably feel good. However if they get a one star rating, they might reconsider before posting something else.

I'm just curious how others view the rating option.

Now you can all rate my post here. heheh

    Good topic

    Liz-
Maybe you should post this one on ViewFinder. I think people see the Feedback forum more as a technical board. I know I do. In any case, I'm definitely interested in what people think about the rating function. We can turn it off if no one is using it. Or we can encourage each other to use it. It does have potential benefits. I think it can be used to sort threads. It could also be very useful on the Photo Critique forum. But if no one's going to use it, we might as well get rid of it.

I generally dont bother rating threads....I could see it being useful for the photo critique forums but other than that, I dont have a use for it. Either way I wont cry.
