Not too sure where to post this. Please correct if I am wrong. There is an image in my gallery "Second Thoughts" which is not mine. My photo "Second Thoughts" has vanished.
    Any thoughts.

Well Tom as Gallery Moderator I have no idea as to what might have happened. Sounds like this is a question for the site tech guys. You might try this post over on the Site Feed Back forum. Maybe PJ or one of his tech guys can track down the problem.

Tom, that does sound strange. I would try doing as Jay suggested and delete the existing photo and thread and re-post in your gallery the intended photo. I think you can try leaving the original name.

    Re: Gallery
Yeah, that's definitely not right. I don't know why that might have happened. Did you happen to upload the image through the forums or did you post it directly to the gallery? I'd like to know why it happened. But if you want to fix it, I would do as Jay suggests. If you click on the "edit" link below the image you can replace the current image with the correct one. If there are already comments on the wrong image, you should just delete the image and start over. Sorry I don't have a better answer for you right now.

Many thanks everyone. I have deleted and uploaded again. Was just very curious as to how this could have happened.

    Hello John
I'm 99% sure that I did it directly. It is a bit baffling though. I have sorted it now.
Very many thanks to you and others for coming back to me on this.

I'm curious, too. It's definitely not right. I need to talk to our developers about it. I believe I've heard of this problem before. But it's by no means a regular occurrence. That makes it hard to repeat and therefore, very hard to isolate, test, and fix. Please let me know if it happens again.

There are still problems with the Gallery.

There are a lot of photos with no thumbnails and when you click on them there is no photo.

This same problem is happening in my gallery right now. I just uploaded a photo to the VF and subsequently the gallery. My new photo shares a file name with a previously uploaded file. Now, the first uploaded file has been replaced by the most recent one. The most interesting thing is, the second one uploaded was a vertical composition and it has been smooshed into a horizontal format which is what the first was shot in. I'll leave this anomoly up for the developers to take look at :)

    The Image?
    Rick-
Did you already delete the image? I just looked and didn't see any "smooshed" images in your gallery. I wanted to show it to the developers. Also, did you upload the images through the forums or directly to the gallery?

    Thanks-

    Re: The Image?
    Hmm... try this:

    http://gallery.photographyreview.com...&ppuser=169780

And tell me what you see. This should have been a daylight image of the ruins. It got switched with a night image with the same file name. I should have mentioned, it's not squished in the thumbnail, only when viewed.

The same thing happened again last night. I uploaded an image to the forum and now someone ELSE'S imgae is in my gallery. Here's the link:

    http://gallery.photographyreview.com...&ppuser=169780

You should see a picture of a full moon. I didn't take that pic. The moon shot I uploaded in that thread was also called "moon" but it was a daylight shot of a landscape.

Because that last pic is not mine, but it is my gallery, let me know as soon as you guys look at it so I can take it out.

    Re: The Image?
Have you guys taken a look at those links yet? The problem is still there. I know it's not good to have someone else's image in my gallery, but on the other hand I want to leave it up there so you guys can see it...

    Hang In There
Hold on to it for a few more days or until I let you know. It's supposed to be looked at today. Evidently is a somewhat complicated problem.

    Thanks-
