I clicked on his name, went to his profile - and clicked into "send a pm" or whatever that link says. This is how I've always done it. Today, I tried twice, and it came back both times with the same message.

I just sent you a PM, using the method you attempted to use for me. It seemed to work. Sorry I didn't see this mesage until today. I was away from the office and didn't have any e-mail access after I left the office on Thursday evening.
