Re: Letting It All Hang Out

I love the composition and the colours in this photo, reminds me of some back streets I have seen in Italy.

However, minor nit pick; I would liked to have seen some more separation between the man sitting with the white shirt and the tree so a little move to the right would have made it. Possibly a little crop and rotation on the left to bring the door way vertical to the frame and loose the thing at the bottom left of the photo which looks like a large dustbin.

Lovely shot. The one critique I can offer is get rid of the tree It's unfortunate that the tree had to be there, cause you have very nice, saturated colors, then rich, natural colors. With that being said, I still love the shot and very nice subject matter!

    Great shot,

    Jared

Tom, i like your subject here. Very interesting in it's feeling of environment. i like the old feel, clothes hanging outside, people socializing, clutter everywhere. . .very interesting to view. The only pik I have with it is the perspective, the sidewalkcoming up to the right, tops of buildings coming down to the right and tree almost right in the middle. I think if you were to have stood out more to the right so you were looking straight on at the scene, it would have made things parallel and had the tree more over to the left. But the scene here still keeps the image strong with interest

I have to agree with the others and that the picture could of been stronger by moving more to the right.
Typically I don't like cluttered pictures (thanks for proving me wrong ), but this holds my attention and makes me want to look around. I enjoy the colors and this is a really great capture. Everyday life made interesting ;)

    Cheers.

Angry Re: Letting It All Hang Out

That poor tree. Honestly, I really like the tree in this one mainly because it serves a purpose for the people who tie their tables and wires to it and the fact that it did not obliterate anything in the picture as such. This is more noticable at full size.
I do think the bit of road/footpath angles do not do any favours.
Thanks to everyone. I do respect your opinions and comments.
