    Angles And Lines

    Hello Everybody.
Just a simple view over some roof tops. Attracted to this by the geometry as much as anything else.

    Re: Angles And Lines

I like it. I've been trying to do a lot more shots that concentrate on perspective, angles and lines.
B&W works great...but I would of liked to see more contrast. The sun hitting the roofs later in the day?
Simple shot that works very well. Good eye!

I really like the textures and patterns on the roof. A very nice photo in that respect. But then again, texture photos don't need much else to recommend them. By the way, what camera, settings, etc?

This is a very interesting photo. It's almost like a maze. My eyse keep following the lines one way, then they jump to somthing else and follow those lines for a while which I think is great for this photo. I agree with PlantedTao tho, that it needs more contrast. Keep them coming!

I like this. I had to look at it for a little while but it works. I would like to see the roof, top left, in focus more with the rest of the frame.

Very good. A lot to look at. Did you try any shots where the main lines angle through the frame rather than lie parallel with the edges?

    I'm with Chunk here.
Twist your camera a bit and you'd increase the excitement.
As for the texture, I'm lovin' it! Contrast looks pretty good. Bit more wouldn't hurt though.

I know you guys are tight for space over there but if that's the garden in the middle then things are getting really tight.

I think the BW works perfectly for this subject. Well spotted!

Have to say I never even considered angling the camera to change the lines - perhaps a chance missed. The picture was taken in China (plenty of space) as I was climbing up a pagoda.
The camera was a canon G5 compact digital.
