B&W Landscape

I use mostly a 28mm for landscapes, but I always forget to avoid vertical shots because you either get too much sky or too much foreground. My solution here was to crop to square. This was a test roll with TMY in Xtol 1:3. I'm still not a big fan of tabular grain films.

I like this, Barmy. Thats a monstrous looking tree in B&W with its branches reaching out all over. Good contrast, also like the darkening sky. I would crop the foreground a bit more, maybe a half inch or so. Nice one, definetely one for the collection.

I agree with Gary on most of his points, but where i differ is that i believe the cropping is great the way it is. to each his own... very nice shot!

I actually like the cropping as well. I think it adds an interesting element – it gives more depth to the picture and the soft light grass or weeds offer and interesting contrast to the large dark tree. Good job.
