A little tip: Don't look at the sun!!! (humor)

So I'm following this Great Egret passing in front of me, and I hold the shutter button down for some clickety-clickety-click, and he passes exactly in front of the sun!!!!

Do you know how bright the sun is??!?!?!?

Especially when viewed (however briefly) through a 300mm lens?!?!?!

It made me blink for a few minutes and see some spots for a while, but I'm all right. No permanent damage.

Kind of a neat effect! Good thing you didn't burn your eye! I built a solar filter for my 300mm. I bet tracking a bird with it would be extremely hard.
