Sharing some GOOD NEWS with everyone!!!

Several weeks ago I was contacted about using one of my pictures for a brochure that will be distributed all along the Mississippi Gulf Coast. They found it on my website and got in touch with me about using it for the main picture on the front. The first printing was 25,000 copies. I didn't want to say anything until they were printed and I knew that it was really going to happen. Well it did and I received some copies today and thought I would share my good news with everyone. The lighthouse picture with the Biloxi visitors center behind it is my picture. It has a photo credit in the bottom left hand corner of the picture. I happy about my picture appearing in the brochure but it is a big deal to me that they looked me up to find out if they could use it.

I have also been contacted by someone else about using a different picture in another project but like this one I want to see the finished project before I say too much about it.

How do these companies find photos? Do they scan photo websites at random?

Whatever way they do it.........they picked a winner!

Thanks everyone!!! It is nice to have friends that I can share things like this with that know just how much events like this mean to us photographers out there.
