I like the human element of this image. I think the spot color may be too intense however, making the image seem more Pop Art than you intended (or what the subject calls for). The tilt of the image sort of throws me for a loop, but I think it's different. Can you also post an unedited version?

I say nay to the selective color, an it looks like the shirts got burnt a bit too much. I do agree that the human element and composition is good. I don't think it needs all that to grab the attention.

Selective desaturation can work well to raw the eye to a specific portion of the frame. I am not convinced you need it here - with the out of focus people in the foreground the eye will automatically go to your real subject. Or, if you decide to keep the selective colour, perhaps not quite so 'in your face' - it verges on the garish. I would certainly get rid of the green colour at the bottom of the frame - it is far too bright for the edge of the frame and only draws the eye away from the sitting man.
However, I do like the posture of the subject, especially the way he is wiping/obscuring his face - you could make up a story there.
