    Re: Mirror, Mirror

    Interesting composition
her face looks like a drawing, no shadows at all, no volume
the hand has texture but it looks blotchy

Forgot the D700 and used your cell phone ?

Certainly different than your otherwise excellent IQ shots

Viewed as an image rather than a photograph I quite like it.
    No, I DON'T need that.

Ha .. no Armando, didn't use my cell phone, though it may seem that way. I injected a little grain in post processing to exaggerate the inherent high-ISO limited quality. This one seemed like it needed it, but see what you think from the original. I did shoot this at 2000 ISO, and although the D700 does a good job at higher ISOs, you still seem to lose detail.

Thanks MB1. I have a habit of converting promising photographs that can't quite make the cut, for various technical reasons, to artistic images. But sometimes I just say "THAT one has artsy written on it. Not that I'm right all the time. I just seems comical to me, like the kind of thing one might do right before they head out for a night on the town...

BTW - not entirely happy with the lighting here..

Lighting issues aside...I like her "look"
