Haha... right after I posted this, it occurred to me that I wanted to remove that shadow. It's the shadow of a mic stand. I'm not sure how I'd remove it convincingly, but it's worth a try.
The light from cam right - I can't remember what the source was, except that it was a stage light somewhere. I think it was behind a red screen/piece of fabric on the side of the stage. A very tricky show to shoot, because the lighting was dim and in all kinds of inopportune places.
Thanks for the feedback!
EDIT: the ball of the mic was in the frame (left), but I cloned it out. Would the shadow make more sense, contextually, if I left the mic in there?
Good stuff as usual. I always love your subjects and processing. I feel as if I'm at a bluegrass festival. The lighting is great, the pose looks like she's between songs and maybe checking the playlist.
I knew it was a mic stand right away, didn't bother me a bit. I don't mind it being there, contextually it may be better if the mic stand were there.

lol, love it, excellent shot! Excellent light on her face. Only thing I think could improve the shot is a bit looser 4:3 crop instead of the 3:2. Though not too much space on right and left, it feels like it with the narrow space on the bottom and top of the frame. (top hardly, but the bottom in particular feels cut off, I think I want to see it a bit lower than the bottom edge of her... banjo... stringed instrument. (?)

Commented an hour or so ago but don't know what happened to it.
I, too, would keep the micshadow. Only edit I'd make is to remove the two bright spots under the banjo neck.
I really like the light and shadow interplay and how the light fades into shadow softly.
The hints of light in background also only adds.
Charlie - the lack of space on the bottom has been bothering me, too. I could add to the frame down there and maybe do some content aware to fill it out, but unfortunately there was nothing there to begin with, so I can't just let out the crop.
Adding a little space right or left shouldn't be a problem.
Frog - thanks. Yeah, I'll get rid of those.
MB - she hasn't seen it yet, but I'm sure she will!
Thanks, armando.
