Nice shot. Every time I try to capture an image of a hummingbird, it always seems to make me zig when it zags - I feel like they do it on purpose!

Yes, they can truly drive one nuts...but it's great fun! We'll be publishing a 50-page article to the fine art of hand-held hummingbird photography on the April issue of our free online magazine ANIMA MUNDI - Adventures in Wildlife Photography, you'll find plenty more interesting examples there

I can appreciate the effort to get these, what with uncooperative birds always flicking to and fro instead of posing like nice little subjects. I guess you catch the occasional hover?

Reminds me of my dragonflies. Half hour at a time, shoot for a while, then delete, delete, delete, delete, maybe, delete, delete, maybe, shoot some more and repeat, and then one in four 'maybes' turn out to be keepers.

Nice hummers! I like the second one better -- not as colorful, but sharper.
