Does Polaroid PL-144AZ flash compatible with Nikon D7000?

    Hi
Due to financial issues I am going to buy ( Polaroid PL-144AZ ) flash for my Nikon D7000,
But does this hot shoe flash compatible with my Nikon D7000?
Does it work well and perfectly with it?
Is (( Polaroid PL-144AZ )) as good as Nikon SB-700 AF Speedlight Flash ?

Re: Does Polaroid PL-144AZ flash compatible with Nikon D7000?

Your link to the Amazon site goes to the Canon-compatible version of the Polaroid flash. That's useless. If it works with the D7000 then it would just be in a very basic autoflash mode.

Your D7000 has a very sophisticated flash system designed to work with Nikon flash units. The protocols used to dialogue between the flash and the camera are Nikon-private and are not disclosed to other manufacturers. Sigma etc. have to guess at how the camera works when they make their "compatible" flash. Sometimes they get it wrong.

I would not recommend using anything but a Nikon flash with a D7000.
