    Re: Cats in Window

I think these are an excellent subject and the conversion to BW is a great idea that works well here. There is plenty to explore in the image and the cats are both fixed on something that makes us curious to guess. The tonal range is great. The background is very unobtrusive, which works well. The only thing I would like to have seen more of, is more of the body of the cat in front. If it was in the same position like the first cat, it would haven been and A+ image, in my mind. Nice.

I love the way this photo is finished, the sharp tones in the left hand and the mystical dark tones in the right hand cat.

I like the subject and composition here but you may give some thought to cloning out that grey area between the cat and the left hand edge.

Isn't it a cool thing in nature that the colours never seem to clash...

    That's the cat......
I already cloned out a curtain from that area.
Thanks for the comments, i wasn't sure how cat pics would be received.

Scary! Could be used in Halloween collage. The cats seem so aloof .. Maybe that's why they're cats? Might consider cropping a little off the left to even out the composition.

    What can I say.
Thanks for all the nice comments.
I do love my critters and chasing them around with a camera from time to time is good practice for manual focus and composition on the fly.

Something around the edge of the right cat that looks a bit funky, and the eyes could look a bit more natural. Its very subtle though. No nitpicks otherwise, great capture!

    Re: Cats in Window

The lighting, dof, and neg space make this really appealing, as well as the fg cats intense gaze. I do agree having a bit more of its body with a slightly looser crop would help, but still its an attractive image.
    Good stuff
