Well I think it all depends on what the shot is for. If it is for a news paper or web news and there is a story behind the picture. If so I think it is fine and dealt with it as best you could.
If on the other hand you are more interested in selling it or making a wall hanger for the fire department then there are a few areas of improvement. The biggest issue I have is the blank sky. Then the firetrucks are to centered. The placement of the fireman could have been better. Waiting till they were facing the camera and not blocked by the door of the truck.
I think shooting down in this case eliminating as much sky as you could have would have helped or better yet waited until the elements were all in place for a better try. Patience is your friend, pick and chose your battles.
