    Gannets (Ireland)

These were taken at the Skellig Island off of the Ring of Kerry. We were on a boat with 3-4ft swells while hand holding a 80-400mm. Did the best I could. Little Skellig Island is home of 30,000 breeding pair of Gannets. Almost too many birds to try and photograph!

Very cool looking head & bill. How big is this bird? Seems like they might be somewhat larger than a seagull.

Very well done for the conditions they were shot in. Ken they are an atlantic ocean pelagic species and are much bigger than a gull.
