    unknown garden self-plant

    Any idea what it is?
I didn't plant it. This has been growing for a few years, I assume from a dropped seed courtesy of a bird.

Now that it's flowered I'm not impressed
Doesn't seem to feed insects, nothing eats it, bees prefer the rosemary next to it.
So it's probably for the chop.

Did some digging on the net for you Paul. It's a Cherry Laurel.

Looks like your blossoms are soon to be followed by fruit, which birds apparently love so maybe they are just holding out for the main dish!

    Thanks Bert.
Eric, this is form the XZ-1, with its f/1.8 lens I can actually get good narrow DoF.
