I think it looks fine. Were you going for the scared look? she looks scared. nice gaze, good b&w treatment. I don't mind that the top of her head is cut off. Looks like some wind is blowing her hair. Also good amount of detail sharpness in this.

    Re: Haley

nice portrait, I think it needs a story to go with it, as a viewer I find my self wondering why she is scared

nice sharp eyes, good light, nice blurry background

light on her hands is more intense than on her face and I do not understand why

yeah, was going for the scared or nervous look. I kinda like the idea of people looking in and wondering "why?"

I have a cheerier one I will post later. Would like to get an opinion on which is better.

Incredible capture Tim! I love the tight cropping and the shallow DOF. Great expression by the model as well. Very well done.

    Re: Haley

Its a fine portrait. Very nice light, and her expression is one that keeps us looking and wondering about her and the moment. nice crop and framing

the only thing bothering me here with this one is her fist being closest to camera is large, but is also lit more brightly than anything else here

I don't know for sure if it is a problem that needs addressing, but I am drawn to her hand,

    really fine work

Curious as to why you did the B&W conversion in camera, surely this would limit you pp options.
I'm with Gary on the hands thing, perhaps bring their exposure down a tad.
Oh and at the risk of getting a growling from PJ, have to say I like this shot......

    Re: Haley

regarding the firsts...completely agree. was thinking the same thing. Don't think I can reduce the size but I can definitely tone it down. they are awfully bright.

I actually didn't do the B&W conversion in camera. My bad. It was shot as a RAW image and I converted later.

    Thanks all for the comments!

    Re: Haley

I wouldnt attempt to reduce the size, thats really not a big issue, but if you toned down the exposure it would make a good difference.

I might clone out that bright circular area on the left top. otherwise, good show.
