I love #1. Very nice lighting and the juxtaposition of shirt pattern to wall texture is really interesting. Did you crop the original? I might like to see more space at the top.

No, unfortunately I didn't. That's something I'm going to have to work on. Taking more time. Thank you very much!

#2 seems a little soft, but might just be my laptop screen. I think you've got a keeper in #1. All the elements work nicely together. As dray said, a little more space above would have been nice, but I don't think it is a deal-killer. I'm not sure why, but when I crop it just a little below his right-hand pocket, I like the image even better...something about the right arm being cropped at the elbow just doesn't feel right. Nice job.

    Re: My lil' Cowboy

I have to say i'm not feeling these two shots, especially compared to the great work you have posted previously of your cowboy.

These look very posed and have much less character than the others. Of these two I agree the 1st is the better. Yep, again I wish there were more space above. I'm wondering why you have a blue cast (cool tone) on some of the others from this series and a warmer tone as in these here. Intentional?
Usually in a series with the same subject and same set you would want to keep a consistency throughout in regards to coloring and tone.

Still, these are pretty nice, just hard to top your previous set.

    Thank you ksbryan!
And Gary, on Mr. Lonely I did add a blue tone because I wanted to add to his "forlorn" expression. As for the warm tone in the top I was just playing with the sepia colors. And I do agree about the "pose-y" feel. Those are really the only two I changed tones in though. Thank you for your compliments though, much appreciated! Looking forward to your edit "tutorial."

The first one where was leaning against the wall are definitely better than these. The first one is the better one out of the two, but it has the hat cutoff. Also, they seem to be on the soft side.

    Agreed. Thanks Leels!
