    Angry Delivery Service Problems Anybody?

Granted, I live out in the boondocks, so I don't expect the same levels of service from the major shipping companies. But on the rare occasion when I need something overnighted, I pay a hefty fee for that service. I paid 45.00 to have a lens overnighted to me. We've got snow on the roads, but the roads are open and passable. They're fine if you live up here and are accustomed to winter driving. The FedEx ground drivers have no problems make their' deliveries, but I'm getting the runaround from FedEx concerning the Express delivery. Angers me to no end, especially when they start in with the problems with unloading the aircraft or servicing the aircraft in the weather. I informed the station manager that I spent 24 years in the Air Force, that excuse doesn't wash. He got a bit apologetic said he'd make some calls, and try and get back to me. What really pisses me off is that if the lens is delivered tomorrow, I'm still out the money I paid to have it overnighted. Shitty way to run a company.

Sorry to hear about the bad experience. Does FedEx have a claims system? Maybe you can get them to compensate you. It seems to me that since they offer the service, they should compensate you if they can't deliver.
