    Softball In The Dominican Republic

Baseball is the national sport in the Dominican Republic. Every town has many teams that compete against teams of other towns on the weekends. I like to go to the games and practice taking sports-action photos. The players like to have me at their games because I e-mail the better photos to the teams that played that day.

Some of them have a rather 'plastic' look, like over cleaned high ISO shots

Without EXIF data I can't really tell.
But if you look at the colour noise in the sand, I think the 3rd photo in the 1st set is a high ISO shot.

    The 1st, 3rd, and 5th are great.
Love the expressions, the concentration, the eyes in #3 particularly.

I wonder if the camera sometimes focuses on the chain link fence in the background, instead of the batter?
I think some editing (if these were show in raw not jpg) might recover the blown out white highlights on the ball and the legs in 3,4, & 5.

Helpful comments, SmartWombat. Thanks. Yes, the eyes in #3 catch your attention immediately. No question that he is focused. I also like the expressions of determination on #1 and #2

I catch my 70-200 F2.8 catching the chain link fence sometimes when batters stride toward their swing.., doesn't happen a ton though for how much baseball and softball I shoot.

Still waiting for an EXIF plug-in for the Firefox Beta... they're slow on development whoever makes it
