    Met Another Member - Chris350

I went to a cyclocross race this weekend to test the Olympus E-5 and because I love watching and shooting cyclocross. It's some of the funnest and most spectator-friendly racing you can watch. Anyway, while I was wandering around with my camera, someone said, "Hi, John."

I, of course, said, "Hi. I'm sorry, who are you?" I hate having to do that. But it's better than pretending I know. Anyway, it was Chris350, who has posted some very cool cycling photos on our Sports Photography forum. I actually recognized him from a race I shot last year but I don't think he was posting on the site at that point. I have a feeling we'll start seeing each other more often now. We both love shooting cyclocross and it's a very small, obsessive community...

Off topic, well sorta, I just recently ditched one of my MTN bikes and got a cross bike. Love it Have yet to really get it dirty, but it has seen tons of bay trail action

I got a CX bike a few months ago, too. I didn't get mie for racing. I got it to make it easier to ride from my house and stay fit in the winter. So far it's pretty much been used as a road bike, but I am liking it more than I expected. I also hate riding a mountain bike on the road even more now

That is exactly why I got mine. Sadly I had been finding myself doing way more road riding on my hardtail than I was actually mountain biking, so I figured I would get something in between. Love it, and I can always swap the tires out for actual road tires if I want to go down that road.

You look very serious and professional. I'm sure you're calculating rider speeds and optimal exposure settings :wink5:
