    Outside the Racing Line

This shot happened almost by accident. I was panning cars at 1/40th of a second when one of the cars spun out and crashed in front of me. I was preparing to take a shot of the driver exiting the car when I remembered I was shooting at a slow shutter. So I waited for the perfect opportunity to get a creative looking shot.... and ...well...here's the result.

Outside the Racing line: When a car has crashed and is outside the racing line the participants are usually allowed to run until a marshal deems it unsafe. This was just before the Yellow Flag was raised to slow down the field and allow the driver to exit his car.

Great shot, but does it have to have your logo on it?

yes the shot is watermarked. I have had a string of shots stolen and used without my permission lately so I can no longer afford to post them anywhere without a brutal watermark across them.

Thanks for the comments. I really like the result as well =)

    Re: Outside the Racing Line

Why did you decide to do it this way?

I like the result, and I'd not have thought of it.
I think I would have focussed on the stationary car, since the passing car was going to be blurred anyhow.
