    Sailing Seagull

Tried to get the best shot I could of the seagull flying with the sailboat in the background. This is the best one I got. My camera unfortunately doesn't allow me to use a filter so i still get a lot of the bluish hue around bright subjects. I've been working on editing it out a bit though. I'm also looking to upgrade to either the nikon d5000 or d90, any suggestions?

Unfortunately the main subject doesn't stand out enough, but the blue tinge should be fixable.

Isn't it a cool thing in nature that the colours never seem to clash...

I have no issues with you editing my photos

I agree with hminx, I had to look for a bit to see the sea gull right. For your other question, I'd recommend the d90, of course I'm very biased as I love mine.

Yeah, it is a good shot, but the bird is kind of hidden by the landscape. You could do some layer blending to brighten the bird a bit to make it stand out.
