The pose is classic. The sand on her knee, her curves and the foam all add to a great shot.
But Armando had to go and ruin it all (just joking). But, yeah that light on her shin is a bit distracting, all .00000000005 seconds I as looking in that area.
Very tastefully done, I might add.

    Hmm.

Interesting shot Jet. I like the dreamy feeling. The pose is mostly good. Good timing on the water/foam! Everything seems straight and lined up.

There's a few things that bug me about the shot however. Her elbow's too close to the top, and she's staring up and away to where we can only guess. The texture on her legs doesn't seem real or, may I say, flattering? Odd because it looks fine on her arms and face. A little bit of noise in the sand, making it seemed processed.

Hey I have a theory on why she's so close to the top: it was tilted and when you straightened/rotated it, it moved her up there. If I'm right let me know... this is the kind of stuff that I end up doing all the time, so, it would make me feel better

Dreamy feel and a great pose. Looks like a painting.
I disagree about the light on the shins. the light brings me the feel of the bright sun and also allows the subjects legs to blend into the white foam of the water. . .it seems to blend perfectly like she is one with the sea.

I am soooo happy the her arm was bent just enough to allow the profile of her face against the sky and not to lose it against her arm. . .those small details are important.

It all works for me here.

    Re: washed ashore (rated R)

The yellow on the shin (and under chin) was sunlight, more pronounced on shin because it was wet. The shot was rotated about 2 degrees counter clockwise to straighten horizon, but she's higher in the frame because I wanted to include the foam but was also struggling to keep the battery pack out of the water  The dreamy feel was applied in photoshop using a NiK color efx preset at very low opacity and blending it with the background layer. Several people in the background were removed as well as some debris in the water.
