I don't think the splotchy light is helping here.
Is your pup a Ridgeback ?

Isn't it a cool thing in nature that the colours never seem to clash...

Well, he is not a Ridgeback purebred, but that may be in the mix : ). We got him from the local shelter....I figure Beagle, Lab, maybe some Ridgeback, perhaps a little Pitt....

I liked the light at the time, however, I agree with you in that it was poorly placed....I guess I would prefer it to be "splotched" on the foreground rather than the mid....

I would have liked there to be a big bright boat in the upper left corner...

I think the force of art lies in its ability to portray immanent fornication.

    Still, nice shot.

I think the composition might have been slightly better if the dock was more at an angle then straight through the center, but what a gorgeous place!

thanks Reb...I noticed that once I got back and put it on the comp, and I agree with you. Maybe this warrants another trip down to the water. This is Manhasset Bay in Long Island, btw...

I like it, regardless of the spoty light

The chain coincides with the collar, making it look like you use a heavy duty chain to walk your dog
