Re: **** Just another sunset pic. Postcard Worthy?
Only PS one flare, added the text, slight crop off the bottom. I know it's been overdone, but any suggestions would help. I used the 80-200 @155mm, f/9, 1/320, handheld. You guys and gals can see what I can't. Is the lens selection ok? Any critique on the photo will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!!
Re: **** Just another sunset pic. Postcard Worthy?
I like the overall scene, but find myself wanting to see a hint of detail in the dark region. You may have already pulled out all available detail, but if not that could help make the shot more interesting. Nice image.

Re: **** Just another sunset pic. Postcard Worthy?
AH! Thank you for letting me see what I didn't! I'll try something a lil different on the settings the next go around to capture more foreground as the sun is setting behind the mountain. Here's a shot just prior to the sun going down (80-200 @ 200, f/8, 1/250, ISO 200). Only PS one flare. I see what you mean about the foreground.
Re: **** Just another sunset pic. Postcard Worthy?
I like the second one better. Would still like to see a little more foreground detail.
Did you shoot in raw format?
Should be able to bring some of the shadow areas out more.
Re: **** Just another sunset pic. Postcard Worthy?
Frog, I shot raw only once with Nikon. Then found out the issues with programs not wanting to open the files...download anther program here, download there, plug-in this, plug-in that, reboot... So, just stayed with the ole jpg. I'll start getting into the habit of using raw. I haven't bought Nikon's program as of yet. Thx...
