    The Frog and the Mosquito

Still kicking myself (hard) for not being able to get a head-on or profile shot of this scene.

    Can you just imagine?!!!

While your kicking yourself I would be breaking my arm patting myself on the back. Amazing shot! Was this the 300mm with tube?
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

Outstanding shot indeed. And I thought that frogs were supposed to eat mosquitoes.

I'm guessing you did not see the mosquito until working on the photo ?

No, on that particular day I only had my 180mm macro.

From afar I first thought it was a piece of a leaf so I selected my approach that would best hide it. After dragging myself across the wet/muddy ground to get the front of the lens hood about a foot from the frog it was too late to change positions. I tried and the frog moved off.
