    Great shot. I'd also like the bird to fill the frame a little more. Was this cropped?

    Really nice, Horace. I agree with OC to move him off center, but I'd suggest cropping nearly all the blue sky to the right of the branch. IMO the buds on the branches left of the bird identify the environment/habitat (for anyone who knows what kind of tree/shrub it is) and are an important part of the capture.

    I initially agreed with Old Clicker in removing the bird from center. I would not cut off the sky on the right because then we have the bird looking out of the frame which does not work well. removing the buds on the left does the trick with positioning the bird, but as Big Sky Ken stated, the buds are important here. the centering of the bird seems to be offset by the buds and branches framing it in and so is not really too bad and is the best of the options. . . leave it as is.
    Very nice work, great light, color, sharpness and overall composition
