I have this one, and another with a seagull sitting on the top, but I don't exactly like the comp. of the other one. What do you think?? A faster shutter could have helped maybe huh???

Cool subject but there are a few things working against you besides shutter speed...half gull on the right side rocks would be better either all in or all out, and that lifeless sky is a tough sell.

If this is close to you, I think there should be some good opportunities to play with those compositions and wait for some better light and sky.
The half gull is a slight problem but that's what clone tools are for.
Compositionally I think a wider view would help. Give it more context or something. Unusual for me to say that as I usually isolate subjects myself.
Try playing with contrast on this one and see if you can make it pop a bit more.
