    Waiting for the Sun

    Been pretty cold around here.
These guys had to stay in until this morning. (they die at around 41F)
Shot by window light on a rainy day.

    Re: Waiting for the Sun

Hm. I really like the deep, dark colors here. The color palette is awesome too. The flower and supporting flowers on the left and right sides all work IMO, but the background is another matter: the flower behind the main one isn't helpful and that circular thingie is a definite distraction. Maybe some post processing can help here (would take greater than my skills).

I kind of like the circular thing. It would be interesting to see it without, but for me it almost works as a way to pull the eye in and move it on to the center of interest. There is a flow to it.

Love the color. Background is not so great but you probably shot it where and when and I can understand that sometimes you just need to shoot what you see where it is.
    Using the shallow dof helped.

    very nice,

really like the sharpness of the foreground flower, great colors too

I would suggest darkening the background a bit , I like dark backgrounds, specially around flowers
