    Yellow flowers

Saw this group of intense yellow flowers and decided to try shooting it

It took me a few tries changing the exposure bias to get the whole histogram with no clippings

I'm liking this lens a bit more every time I use it

    Comments ?

    Thanks for looking

Good DoF and a fair composition but it seems a bit too dark/saturated.
    No, I DON'T need that.

agreed that it is a bit dark, looks like you shot it in the sun so there's no reason to fool us into thinking it was shady. also I think the crop could use a tiny bit of breathing room, that droopy flower is cramped at the bottom. Otherwise, I dig it.

    Re: Yellow flowers

I have a tendency to like darker pictures it was shot at 11AM with plenty of sun

the crop for the hanging flower can not be improved as the crop is already at the bottom of the photo

here is similar crop, no additional PP

the major problem I had in the first image was to get rid of the white pickup in the background

Nice bunch of flowers against a blue sky always a visual treat. Looks good especially since you lightened up some, but can use a bit more.

    Re: Yellow flowers

The flowers are good, so success there. At first I disliked the house there but after looking at it some more, I think it is OK: it conveys the feeling of a nostalgic house with flowers scene. (It would be better if it were a cottage at the beach, but that's for another photo.)

What I still do not like in the photo, however, is the way the big tree on the right side closes up the photo. I wish it wasn't there and, instead there was a beach or old picket fence. Ahh.. you need PS5's context fill gadget!
