    Bridal Veil Falls (Utah) HDR

This is my first attempt at combining images in a HDR process. The lighting wasn't optimal when I took the images and had harsh light and heavy shadows to deal with. Looking at this, I am thinking the light is still too harsh, but I am happier with my results in the shadow areas. I've also included a narrow crop of the falls, not sure which I like better. (Actually, I'm not sure that I really like either one!) I'd appreciate any critique and coaching.

I like the wider shot but agree the lighting is harsh. Falls work much better on cloudy days.

Thanks Greg. I will try again when I have a better subject to start with.

I like the shot, the sunny day shadows enhances the texture of the rocks, however the photo looks a bit over saturated on my monitor. Where the sky meets the rock I see a white halo. Could just be my computer.

Thnaks Bob. I hadn't noticed the halo before, but surely see it now. Have to figure out what I did to cause that.
