    Jesus in hdr

I was taking a nice ride through a cemetery by my house and notice this memorial (it's for local priests), and decided I had to get a shot. I was hoping for more clouds, but I figure this isn't going anywhere and can try again later. I can't decide between cropped or not...

Not bad. Very cool, but you are losing some of the dynamic range in the upper cross with the software I think. You can bring that back with blending. But feel free to ignore my advice. Just doing my duty on critique.

I actually thought of you when I was doing it! I'm not sure how to blend like you do, but I did take my final hdr, lighten it up a bit to bring out the statues, then masked the sky back to darker.

Look it is a great shot as it is. But if you want to enhance the dramatics, you just need to save several exposures in raw and then pull them up in photoshop. Mask them and paint them in. If you don't know how to do that get a good PS book on masking. It is basically hand painting.

This shot does not necessarily need it, it is just an option.
