    A walk in the woods

So this is one of the first times that I have photographed a person in the woods and I am just wondering if anyone has any tips for me. Comments welcome.

Re: A walk in the woods

You've moved out of the harsh sunlight - good.
I like the pose by the tree in the sun, but the light's too harsh, and in her face, and she's squinting. Also there's that out of focus branch lower right, and the white loop (drawstring of loose jogging trousers?) is distracting, and the feet are cut off.

By the rock, I think the grin looks a bit forced, and I'd like to see both eyes.

Between the trees, again I can't see the eyes clearly at this size.

How important is it to see both eyes? She asked me to delete or not post any photos with her left eye in the photo.

I like the lighting on #3 but what's that thing on the lower right? looks a bit lewd.
#2 is closest as it has a catchlight in her eye. Unfortunately you've cut off too much of her shoulder and also the pendant on necklace.
    Keep trying......she's lovely subject.
If hiding her left eye is her style, then so be it.
You need to bring out her right eye even more.
    Look through a glass eye.
    Give it a few tries.
Nothing goes right in its time.

and with brown eyes, that's harder to bring out the detail.
