    Arrow Sunset in Haifa

Two friends of mine and I, are coming back from a road trip to Haifa, to see the Technion (Israel's MIT); we see an amazing sunset, and decide to turn off route 2, and take pictures. I got a lot of pictures (some of which you see). I'm trying to get back on to route 2, but there's no entrance, so I go where my GPS tells me, and I end up going through a 1.7 meter tall by 1.8 meter wide (tiny) tunnel just barely fitting in to get back to Haifa.

    Hopefully it was worth it:

My (Dad's) car. before taking some of the sunset alone, I decided to use an easily accessible foreground object.

    The obligatory sunset shot...

Just happened to be running by as I was taking pictures - I ran back when I saw hime, but a stupid truck drove by just as he was passing me, so I didn't get that many of him...

Nice photos and post processing !

#1 I wish the whole car was in the frame, there seems to be uneven light in the car which to me looks odd
#2 I think is the best, very good job
#3 Is also very nice, there is some distortion from the lens the horizon looks curved up, there is small back rectangle on the reflection of the sun that should be easy to clone out

    Rob and Daq: Thanks!
Armando: Thank you so much for the detailed critique! Do you know how to straighten the horizon in Photoshop?

    Yaihr,
I do not use photoshop, searching a bit on internet found that photoshop has a thing called
Filter → Correct Camera Distortion which does correct pinkcushion or barrel effects

Very nice, especially like the last one, although the man running in the sunset is also very good.

As Armando pointed out, you can correct for lens distortion by going into Filter>Distortion>Lens correction and adjust the setting until you see the line straighten.

    Lovely lighting and brilliant reflections

    Re: Sunset in Haifa

Thanks! I ended up just using warp on the horizon so as not to affect the rest of the image. I also got rid of the black square (a sign, upon closer inspection), and I got rid of the green lens flare in the middle of the reflection.
Thank you so much for the feature!

Worthy feature shot , but have to admit the runner is my favourite.

Isn't it a cool thing in nature that the colours never seem to clash...

    Re: Sunset in Haifa

All very good shots yairh.. I especially like the bottom one (at first I thought it was taken from a plane). It looks surreal to me, not sure if you did any PP on it or not. Either way, I would take that image and do some (additional) PP to create a very surreal image that is really, really different. That is, it has the look of an image that provides a lot of artistic opportunities.

I absolutely love the last picture. The absence of any buildings, cars, or people makes it almost seem otherworldly for me

Having a silhouette on the runner is an absolutely amazing effect. May i ask what application you use to edit these photos? they all look fantastic.
