    Smoke Photography#2

With the bad weather today I had to take pictures of something. So I did a little more experimenting with smoke photography. Any suggestion or critiques appreciated. I'm also curious as to what, if anything, the photo reminds you of..

I like #2. #1 seems way too soft. Can't think of anything that it reminds me off, but is certainly evoking of something a bit mysterious and eerie.

ooh I like number two. Number one, I like the smoke on the left of the picture. The big pile on the right seems to bright (not sure of the word I need there).

All opinions expressed by this person are purely that, opinions which means she doesn't actually know anything about photography.

    #2 is a good one.

However the smoke in #1 isn't in focus, and seems very soft.

There's a suggested vase with a flower or two in the bottom corner of #1, I'd crop it to remove the smoke n the upper opposite corner it distracts from what works.

#2 is really nice but needs a crop too, with all of that negative space you can afford to crop off of center on the vertical to keep the image from being too symmetrical adding a little more interest. Or go for the tile effect and crop in to the square, that would probably look really neat as a background or border tile.

Not a bad idea, though one could wonder what you lit up to create the smoke . I think the bottom image's smoke curves are nice but I also feel that it's too obvious that it's the same smoke 4 times. Something different, maybe merged with the other one above it? The top image seems a tad clipped off to me.
