Lake, Boat, Dock and Tree - Redux

A horizontal composition on Bohinjsko Jezero to juxtaposition (critique-wise) with the earlier like-named upload.

Now that works much better for me. The leading lines of the dock and the clear delineation between fg elements and bg elements plus the complimentary colors are a win in my book.

I like this one a lot more than your other one. I like the saturation in the wood boat and the water against the gray sky.

Beautiful scene. The colors and setting are outstanding and your composition is good. I feel that this would be even better if the boat were not right up against the dock but rather a bit separated from it as well as being at an angle rather than parallel with the horizon.
    Lovely photo.

Re: Lake, Boat, Dock and Tree - Redux

Interesting Gary...I actually have one where the boat had drifted at an angle to the dock. Didn't work as well for me, at least initially...i'll have to go back and take a look at it.
