    Pint sizes Singers

Was over to Hyderabad on work and there was this short tree just outside my window which played host to several small birds. Every morning was a veritable concert!!! Presenting the Ashy Prinia (Ashy Wren Warbler) and Purple Sunbird. As a beginner with a DSLR any feedback would help!!!

    Thanks

    Beautiful little birds!
Did you shoot these through the window? I asked because they look a bit out of focus. When shooting through a window, you might want to manually focus on the birds head.
Another tip is try not to exactly center your subject in the picture. I sometimes do when I actually shoot it, but then crop the shot for the best "rule of thirds" look.
Walk softly and carry a big lens.

Your composition for the birds is pretty good and I like the different positions they are in.
It does appear that you shot through a not so clean window though and they are dark and out of focus.

Thanks for the feedback!!! It was pretty early in the morning, so the light was not so good and I was using the autofocus mode. This is possibly the reason for the out of focus. I'm still exploring my DSLR; maybe I should try the manual focus more often... problem is that these birds rarely sit still....
