    A day at the races

Did another trip down to Homestead speedway to shoot the FARA races this weekend. Looked for something less "mainstream" in the paddock area (got plenty of shots of cars on the track too though).

I like it, its a familiar scene with a mechanic husband But I kept scrolling down thinking, what am I looking for. That might just be the problem with looking at stuff online though.

The DOF blur through the vertical shot is very interesting. And the abstract mechanical stuff in the foreground is interesting, and in hyper focus. Really nice.

Like the dof but kinda wish the front of the wrench was in focus. Anyone know what that purple thing is?

It looks a bit like a fuel injector diagnostic tool, not sure about that though

Yeah, it's expensive This was a formula car if that helps identify the mystery gizmo.

I appreciate the feedback and for those who want to see more, I'll start a thread in the sports forum in the next day or so and post a link here

Did you do the arranging of the tools or did you just "see" the comp that existed? Either way, I like the eye flow.

Nice DoF. Looks though you could level the shot a bit more, seems slanted to me (down right to left). Looking at those bits and pieces makes me glad I'm not a mechanic. Usually when I pull something apart, I'm always left with bits when I put it back together again...
    Shootme...
