    Boxing: 7D

I invested in a 7D last week and took it on it's first outing on Friday night:

So what do you think? Did your photography benefit from it? If so, what about the camera helped you take better pictures? And please remind us what you were shooting with before. I think it was a 40D?

Oh yeah - that last photo is awesome. I love the sweat spray!

    Thank you, thank you.

I was shooting with a used Sigma 30 f/1.4, and the iso was set at 2000 for these shots.

    John- correct, I'm coming from a 40D.

All around the 7D was easier to shoot with. It's nice having usable high iso's, and those extra steps in between. The autofocus was fast and accurate, and didn't jump around nearly as bad as the 40D when the referee was near the frame. What I also noticed that I haven't heard a whole lot about was the increase in dynamic range. I was also impressed with the battery life- I popped off 1440 shots and still had 68% life left.

    Nice Series !!!

Remember who won from the last series ? they both look exhausted and both seem to have received a fair amount of punishment

The white guy. He's younger and in better condition- a local champion versus an aging journeyman. His opponent quit between rounds- he couldn't see, no doubt due to the straight right he took in the eye.

Thank the forum moderator, SmartWombat, for the Photo Of The Week. He's the one who chooses them. I posted it on the PhotographyREVIEW.com Facebook fan page, too.
