    Record shots of a juvy gyrfalcon

    Have to admit, not very productive lately. Got some from the past couple of days. We have probably three gyrfalcon and one juvy in our area. Failed to find the adults but got some shots of the juvy,

    Cropped.

    I like the look of this one:

    While I was there, the juvy was trying to drive a peregrine out of the area. Below is a shot of that peregrine. You could see it was keeping an eye on the juvy gyr, which gave chase right after the peregrine took off from the next power pole down the road:

    Sharp shots! I really like the ornateness (is that a word?) of their feathers.
