The dome shot is excellent and deserves to be featured on it's own. I think it would look even better if most of the bottom portion(sill) was removed.

I agree with Tom, the first one just isn't wide enough. The second needs cropped and leveled/skewed or both.

    Re: The Gallery & Dome

Though I have nothing to add, I just feel compelled to repeat what's been said:

The first while interesting, pales in comparison to the dome shot.

The dome shot does need perspective adjustment...tilting the left side closer to the viewer (if that makes sense).... but only a small crop from the bottom....

The dome feels like a painting... very very nice!

    Re: The Gallery & Dome

What happens to the orphans when the orphanage is abandoned, I wonder?

I like both shots very much. Rich in color and detail. As a primary photography of people and animals, I look at them both as extraordinary backgrounds waiting for a model -- perhaps one of the missing orphans?

I actually think the first one stands more on its own with the Hogwarts/MC Escher stairs...

Thanks for sharing. I have a photo on the critique board, as well, should you care to comment.

Nice shot of the dome. Good use of restrained tone mapping.

I have to say that love your PP work on this series and the past one in the same location.
Here shot no2 is my favorite even though I feel something is missing in the composition...some element that will complete the scene.
    Great work.

I like the second one alot, but that spiderweb? on the left side is kind of distracting my from the dome.

The 2nd one is very painting like. I'd fix the lens distortion though
