    Downy (or Hairy) Woodpeckers

    Not much happening at the nature center yesterday (LOL, no hawks trying to grab squirrels out of a hole this time). Good amount of activity at the bird feeder though with downy woodpeckers (or hairy, I can't tell, honestly), both males and females.

    Nice! These are Downies, you can tell by the smaller beak compared to the Hairies, where the beak is about the same length as the head.
