    Snow Angels

The story written in snow was virtually invisible in the overcast mid-day light - almost stepped on it actually before I knew what it was.

Returned with a strobe to bring the image back to life.

looks like a bird of prey swooped down and caught a small mammal then struggled with in on the ground for a bit.

Love it!! Nice capture indeed!. Unfortunately we didn't get enough snow in that last cold front here in Florida to make any snow angels ;)

Very neat shot Loupey. I enjoy seeing wildlife tracks in the snow on my winter walks.

The scene you described is something I've been looking for quite some time. Long meandering tracks of a mammal through the snow punctuated by a struggle at the end.

But unfortunately these are simply the impressions of either robins or mockingbirds as it was directly under a small berry bush that I've seen them eating. I had to move branches out of my face to shoot some of these.
