    Snow Shack

Arrived back home today after spending a few days exploring the High Sierras in Northern California. This is a couple pics out of the first batch. This is "Silver Lake" and "Caples Lake". They sit at 8200ft and it is a spectacular area...A little cold shooting at 14-20 degrees, but well worth the hike and freezing temps.Tell me what you think..Thanks again

Beautiful! The first shot almost makes me feel like Im there, the color is outstanding. The second shot is just as beautiful but the color seems flat to me. Great shots!

Both great pics but I tend to like more the 2nd.... love those shadows on the snow plus that perfect mountain at the back.

The second shot is much better than the first. The play of the shadows both in the foreground and on the peaks makes the picture really stand out.

On a side note, last week, I climbed up around the right side (west) of those peaks. I love the whole Carson Pass area.

Yah and as bright as it must have been, I am impressed with how smooth it all looks.

Your pictures get better with every post. All of the practice is paying off. Nice work.

Isn't it a cool thing in nature that the colours never seem to clash...

Thanks to all. I really appreciate the comments and critiques I have received, not only with this post, but all of them from day one. I cant thank you all enough for the help you have given me to capture the image that I see, and then freeze it in time for everyone else to see.

I love both compositions. Gorgeous photos, nothing more to say, other than print and hang them.
