    Spirals or Metal Petals

Unsure what to call this one . I love shiney metal and making swarf.. Just used natural light for this one as the sodium lights in the workshop gives any photos a funny orange cast

Great detail and the natural light works fine.

Yeah this is spectacularly cool. It is amazing how random or cyclical processes that have not governing premise can still be gorgeous. This is not entirely random or chaotic like the eye on Jupiter, but a similar idea. Beauty from what is essentially mathematical fate.

That is a superb photo and I love the vignetting on the bottom leading you in.

Ahh, this is excellent. I agree with Daq7 about the beauty of the process and its forms. I am not sure about the vignetting although as Roger says it does lead the eye into the meat of it. For me it might be a little hard, but still it is not the deal killer. This is very cool, and well done.

I would like to add that not many would even think of shooting this.

I would call it: The Fecundity of Steel. Or Metal Bloom. Or Steel Flower or some such.

But I am kind of strange.

Thanks Daq I had to read it several times and I think I understand what you are getting at here..... ( I can be a bit slow at times )

I had a whole lot of fun generating this image and to think someone else enjoyed it really is a super bonus

I agree. Applause for your ability to see a great photograph in such an unlikely place.

What a great photo -- surprising artistry from such an unexpected source! Great eye and great execution and most deserving of a Sticky!

Anything can be an interesting subject if you have the eye. You've proved it here. Congrats on the Sticky.
