An oceanic hairball?? Blek. I like your angle, but these HDRs are ruining me -- I would like the color pumped up a bit -- although, really, the color is good as you shot it.

    Paula,

I took this one and posted it to illustrate how man is messing up the earth. This mess is typical of the garbage that washes up on our intercostal and river beaches, every day. People think that if they cannot see it then the garbage is not there.

    What a title! lol
I like that you took an off but interesting angle of this. It makes it look like a sea monster crawlimg up a wall or something.
A good commentary on what happens to our garbage and how it never really "leaves us"

Is this a scanned photograph? My only issue is with the color balance. these looks to be too much yellow/green cast to it.If this is how the photo looks, then the lab is not doing a well enough job for you at color correction.

    Gary,

Good eye, I scanned, and cropped it from a 4 X 6 and in the process lost some red, the ballon (slightly right of center) is flag red.

Thanks for your comments and looking

Photos denunciation of the situation in the world today. Hope that changes !!!!!
For the photo I see a slight yellow cast, also should be a small adjustment of the levels and saturation.
However good the angle and the meaning of the photo.

    Thanks Franco,

The color problem is a result of the scan of the film print.

Yes, I understood. It 'always a big problem from a film scanner, but with a little intervention with PS the photo could be improved.
If you want I can try.

    Re: And The Ocean Vomits

    Franco,

Please go ahead and try if you want, I am using a regular scanner (HP All in One 6200) to scan the analog prints to a digital format. 99% of my photos are on film, and I have not gotten a film scanner yet. The print looks a lot better than the scanned image here.

    Thanks,

Here's my version. What do you think?
I have refrained from using the scanner for both negative for the slides. My ability allows me to obtain satisfactory results

    Re: And The Ocean Vomits

    THANKS FRANCO,

That is a lot closer to the actual potograph, I really appreciate your input and help.

I am saving for my trip to Brazil, a decent film scanner, new lens (always :lol, and my wife is spending on our first grandchild (due in about 3 weeks). So for the time being I will have to settle for a document scanner.
