    My Dusty

    Hi:

This is my Dusty-girl the summer before she died...she was 11. We love our little hound Cooper dearly but Dusty will never be forgotten. This photo was a favorite of mine and I wanted to share it with you.

Cute shot, a very 'noble' portrait of her. I like the bandanna around her neck and the way you blurred the background.

Good shot. She's got some gray around the muzzle there. Glad you gave her a good life. - TF

btw - Coop is my favorite internet dog.

Thanks everyone for your kind comments. Dusty was a wonderful dog and friend, but so is Cooper...he helped us so much with our grief for Dusty.

Well, I for one will not critique a love shot.
Just keep it and cherish it. Nice looking dog and I'm sure she brought you many fine memories.

    Re: My Dusty

Post like these are about the only thing in the world that will get a lug head like me choked up. NO words can express how I feel for your loss. All I can say is I am very sorry. I'm sure he lived a happy life with you and is great full for it. His gray beard showed just as my last labs did when he became old and past in my arms, a year ago at age 10 from cancer. I'm not a religious man, but I hope this quote is true....
This quote was sent to from a friend and it now hangs on my wall along with pictures of my lost buds..thought I would pass it on...

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

    Author unknown...
"There are many paths to the top of the mountain, but only one view"
"You can't depend on your eyes when your imagination is out of focus".
"Whenever man comes up with a better mousetrap, nature immediately comes up with a better mouse."

    Re: My Dusty

It's hard not to critique on a Critique Forum. And I do see a nit-pick or two, but there are so many more things that are right, I call it as a great photo.

Speaking of Rainbow Bridge, I know religion talk is taboo here, but if I were going to bring it up, I would say I absolutely believe the Creator and Lover of pets will reunite them with those who loved them.

    She's a beauty!
